Well, it works very well as my cat hasn't figured out how to escape and probably never will; the door requires someone with an opposing thumb to work the latch. Cats aren't that smart, you could probably even leave a number of small levers inside with the cat and it still couldn't get this open. The carrier is lightweight and comes in 2 halves that fit together, so don't be surprised by the small size of the shipper; it's easy to put together and if you ever need to clean it, it's easy to disassemble and hose or scrub clean. The cat? Well she's got to learn to love it even though it usually means a trip to the vet.

The material is thin and the garment is so poorly made. Not enough velcro to keep it on for even a brief period of time, and it is short and really only covers her shoulders. It fits her as well as the design allows. I thought about sewing more velcro on it, but I don't think it is worth my time. Our dog has other jackets that she cuddles into and keeps on even when playing with the other dogs. This item is worthless for our use.

We recently had our floors redone and these are really great both to prevent scratching but also helps her with traction. They are easy to put on and they stay pretty well. The only suggestion I have is that they go up a little farther. Next time I might try a larger size
"dog slippers to protect wood floors"2009-12-09 By scout (Illinois) I purchased the slippers to prevent scratches on our new wood floors. Our dog is 55 lbs. of muscle and sometimes hyperactive. Unfortunately, even with careful manicures, he creates long gashes in our floor from running and sliding. We were only able to put the front slippers on Cooper because he resists slippers on his back feet. When the slippers stay put they do prevent scratches, but he often wiggles out of one or the other throughout the day. His dew claw seems to be right where the slipper's strap encircles his ankle. The more expensive kinds have elastic at the opening; in hindsight, I realize the importance of the fit. I do like that they are washable and seem to be comfy on. He will give me a baleful look when I velcro them on, but after that he will ignore them.

You can tell the difference in his ability when he has them on, he knows he can walk anywhere in the house, as without them, he is very hesitate to walk, and goes from rug to rug like he's island hopping. One of my cats loves to sit with his paws around it watching the bubbles; I think he likes the moist environment.
Other advantages are large capacity and ease of cleaning. No water pump to unclog and generally make your life miserable. The air pump sits at a distance of several feet; in my case on the counter above the waterer.
