I have a clowder of cats, all rescues. During the winter, when they are all stuck in the house together, they get into arguments just like kids. Spraying Feliway around the house calms them down and eases the tension. I also spray a spritz inside the cat carriers about half an hour before a trip to the vet. It will not work for a dedicated sprayer who must mark everything, no matter what- but it does prevent the casual sprayer from starting. This is a good product to have in a multiple cat household.

We have a male cat that did not spray until a year after we moved. He was spraying daily at times.
Besides creating a "haven" for him on the top of our armoire, we spray this on window ledges before opening windows, and in spots where he was spraying. He hasn't sprayed since we started more than one time.

I recently moved with my cat into a household with a dog. Prior to this, the cat had always been very well trained to use his litter box. However, he started to urinate outside of his box and I was at a loss how to stop this. After a little research on the web, I decided to try this product, together with "Cat Attract" litter. Results have been amazing. There have been no further incidents of soiling outside the box and the cat is back to his usual relaxed self. I highly recommend this product.

Bought the plug in pheromones first & couldn't really tell a difference in the behavior of my cats. So tried this one. Made the mistake of not reading the directions & sprayed it on the cats' brush prior to brushing. Hair was silky smooth! Both cats spent the night licking each other clean! It did stop the other cat from clawing on the carpet upstairs, but i need to respray again soon. I guess when the scent wears off, she starts scratching again.

Feliway is an essential product to have in your home of any number of cats. It's a reassurance blanket for them that the new object or place is safe, and reassurance for you that they won't try to mark it and claim it part of their territory. Cats are designed to do that, but this Pheromone spray will make it smell like they've already rubbed up against it, so it must be part of their home, so there's no need to mark it. Their minds will be set at ease, and so will yours. It's good to keep around for new things, kitty carriers (because you know how much they love those...), and for reinforcing the "happy feeling" around problem areas like doors to the outside, corners or other "landmark" type structures in the home. When used in conjunction with Feliway diffusers, there's not much to worry about except when you run out. It's like keeping the soft music playing in the background to keep tensions low and serenity high.
