The Worlds Only Self-Flushing, Self-Washing Cat Box. With CatGenie 120, you’ll never touch litter again. It automatically flushes all cat waste out of the home then washes itself completely clean. The new 120 SaniSolution Cartridge is biodegradable and recyclable (unlike cat litter which is neither). Holds 120 washes and when set on Cat Activation provides 240 washes (and one Cartridge is smaller and uses less plastic than the lid of one plastic litter jug). IMPORTANT NOTE: The 120 Cartridge only works in the CatGenie 120 Model. The 120 Cartridge (clear) will NOT work in the original CatGenie, which only uses the 60 Cartridge (green) The 60 Cartridge will NOT work in the CatGenie 120.

"Great for multiple cats!" 2010-04-15
By R. Unterborn (North Carolina)
We had the original CatGenie for over a year with 3 cats in the house and loved the lack of cat odors and ease of maintenance. The maximum 4 daily cycles did use up cartridges in about 2 weeks, and we ran out frequently. We also started having to disassemble and clean it more often as time went on,and it finally just stopped working. We got the 120 version, and what an improvement! The cat activation mode really extends cartridge life significantly, and the(4)cats got used to it quickly. I highly recommend this version to anyone with multiple cats. It's a time and money saver.

"Keep the original!" 2010-04-14
By The Beading Emporium
We bought the original and loved it. We have 3 cats and litter box cleaning was always a huge ordeal. The ORIGINAL Cat Genie took the mess out of our lives. Just turn it on and your done. So when the 120 came out we thought great, now we don't even have to turn it on. We immediately upgraded. BIG MISTAKE! I wish we had our old one back. This new one has been nothing but trouble. We get constant error messages with no known cause. The cycle runs as it should but we get the nagging beep so we have to go unplug it each time it runs a cycle. Finally even unplugging wouldn't reset the computer. Now we have an expensive piece of junk. I wish we'd kept the old one. This one still has too many problems. My advice, buy the original. We're going to buy a new original version and dump the 120 in the trash.

"Customer Service Stinks" 2010-04-12
By Skylar
The customer service for this product is HORRIBLE. They have a help line phone number plastered all over the manual. But when you call the number you hang out on hold for 10 minutes until you are automatically sent to voicemail and somebody calls you back 2 hours later. If you happen to be misfortunate enough to miss their return call, they direct you to call the same number... to be put on hold... to leave a voicemail. Unbelievable.

"Now your cats have a flushable toilet too" 2010-04-08

Ever gotten tired of carrying around cat litter and scooping the cat box? Then you'll love this product.
I have two of these and I owned a CatGenie 60 until it was replaced by the second CatGenie 120.
I was happy with the 60 but the 120 is even better. Less granule loss, more nighttime friendly (sleep cycle), lower maintenance (cleaning cartridge vs manual cleaning), quieter, and cheaper (detergent cartridges last twice as long).
And the customer service is fantastic. I reported a water sensor problem with my processing unit (on an early 120 - they've fixed this problem now) and I had a replacement in 2 days.
I have three cats. Two CatGenie 120's split between the main level and the basement keeps everybody happy since one is available at all times :)
If you can afford a little up-front cost, you won't be disappointed. Don't think of it like you're purchasing something for the cat... think of it as something you're purchasing for yourself because you'll have less hassle and more free time.

"Do NOT waste your money on this, it is a RIP OFF and PetNovations offers ZERO customer support." 2010-04-06
By S.E.
I bought a CatGenie a little over 2 months ago. It worked flawlessly at first... about the time we used up the first SaniSolution catridge, all the trouble started. First it gave an error (#3) that it was clogged.. and so we followed ALL of the directions to clear a clog, including taking the machine completely apart, and it still wouldn't run through a complete cycle. Then it started giving a #1 error, which means either the water sensor is dirty/missing or that it has water in the hopper (and as far as I or any other intelligent person can tell who has looked at it, nothing is wrong with the sensor and there is NOT water in the hopper). The thing has been completely taken apart twice now, there is no clog/water in any portion of the hopper or the drain hose, the water sensor was replaced with the spare even though there's no signs of anything being wrong with the first, yet the machine will still NOT run through a complete cycle. It will only attempt to drain (all while dispensing sani-solution?) but then it just gives the same error again.

I can't even begin to guess why it's still dispensing SaniSolution. We've managed to use up TWO cartidges in about 3 weeks without the machine even working right? What an AMAZING scam on the part of PetNovations, to waste something that basically costs $30 to replace all while the machine does NOTHING. I don't know how that is even possible, but it is what it is. If I dump clean water into the basin and let it drain, all I get out of the thing is clean water and FOAM, from guess what.. all that SaniSOlution it keeps dispensing. So clearly it's in there. The cats haven't had access to the thing since it stopped working so I know they don't have magic foaming cat pee.

As if all of THAT wasn't bad enough, I've been trying unsuccessfully for THREE WEEKS to get ahold of anyone at PetNovations that might be able to help. I've left 5 or 6 messages now... and NO ONE has called me back! It's very frustrating.

As far as I am concerned at this point the CatGenie was and and is a COMPLETE waste of money... not to mention all the time we've spent trying to get it to work right.

And I'm back to scooping regular litter!!!
