It works as stated, much cheaper than replaceable cartridges and easy to use. There is some handling issues as you do have to empty it rather than just dispose of it. I have found that I can take out the solid material every week and the litter last longer between refills. I have 3 cats and they do their heavy business in the automatic box because it reduces smell and they don't see the waste later. It also dries out the waste so much easier to dispose of. I think it is helpful to manually move the litter around to increase absorbition and increase litter use. I do have to raise the Scoop Free machine up a bit or the rake gets stuck. Perhaps because the tray is somewhat thicker than the disposable trays. The manufacture addresses this and has a cure but I just haven't gotten around to it. I also buy the litter from the same company but other crystal litter works too.

I purchased one a few months ago and I really love it. It saves so much money not having to buy the cardboard refills. My only bug about is the clear part always flips off when I scoop out the poo end. However, the benefits far outweigh that one small bother. I just ordered a second one for my other box.

THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT. I switched to the Scoop Free Litter Box because Littermaid's product was/is horrible and never worked right and the cartridges never fit. Then when Littermaid started making the replacement cartridges for Scoop Free, I was back to the same inferior product. Basically, they provided cheap crystals that did nothing and replacement cartridges that wouldn't last more than 5 days when they were supposed to last 2 weeks.
While trying to find some replacement cartirdges because they are never in stock in the stores, I came across this product and ordered it on the spot after reading all the reviews. I have no complaints about this product and I am saving time, money and energy.

I bought mine over two years ago. And I am as satisfied today as I was when I first bought it. It's a solid product that works flawlessly.
Rick stands behind his product too. About a month after I bought mine one of the metal tabs came unstuck from the clear cover. I contacted Rick for a glue recommendation and he immediately sent me a new cover. No other issues until Two years later when I dropped a heavy box on the cover and broke it, I contacted Rick to inquire about purchasing a new cover. Again he responded immediately, providing a replacement.
Rare to find such customer care these days.
