I received the item today thanks to Prime. I was very excited to try this out because I wanted to tire my dog out before he tires me out and using a bicycle to walk him was an ideal solution. He's a tall 95lb Doberman, very strong but this works pretty well. He is somewhat obedient on the leash so it wasn't so difficult to get him use to this. He is much more happy since he gets to walk at his own pace and I don't have to keep yanking him to slow down. He pulls me and I just steer with occasional braking. Walking him isn't going to be too much of chore anymore. He did manage to almost chew threw the rope in no time, but buying spare rope at a hardware store is cheap and pretty easy to replace it.

Great product. I like how you can detach it so it can be used on my bike or my wife's. The spring loading is safe when the dog pulls away and the bar keeps him away from the wheels. He is always excited when he sees us pull it out.

This is my second one, because we have 2 dogs now. We loved the 1st walkydog so much that I knew I would order a 2nd one. It is so easy to attach and to detach from the bike and you have a build in leash if you decide to stop and walk with your dog. It makes riding the bike so easy and worry free, both hands stay on the handle bar and your dog can't get to close to the bike. I like using a harness on my dogs when we go for a bike ride.

I would give it 5 stars but the clamp on the bike seems to rust easy. Otherwise, great product. My dog (6 month old vizsla) took about 5 trips to get acclimated. Loves it now. Just say, "wanna go for a bike ride?"
I have since recommended it to neighbors and just last night saw one go past our house!

I got this as a Christmas gift and just recently was able to try it out. It's wonderful. I use it with the car harness I purchased for my dog that has a padded chest and it's wonderful. My Australian Cattle Dog is able to safely run by my side on short rides. And the spring in it is wonderful. She has lunged at squirrels and a couple strangers she didn't like and wasn't able to pull me over at all, even with trying to do a full-out run. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a safe way to have their dog run with them while biking.
